Nigun is an original jazz ensemble that creates new Jewish-Israeli music, and crosses musical and social sectors. Nigun's music is rhythmic, moving, catchy, and speaks to a wide array of listeners. Combining the melody's simplicity with rhythmic and harmonious complexity creates a special and dreamy experience.

Nigun's music is based on ancient spiritual-mystical "nigunim," melodies of the various Hasidic sects in Eastern Europe. The Hasidic melody has been used for generations to attain spiritual transcendence. Through the melody, Hasidim ascended to mental states of supreme joy, inner contemplation, or longing for that which is hidden. The melody reveals the soul of man.

Nigun connects the Hasidic melody's spirituality with the improvisation, power and complexity of contemporary jazz. Arrangements include modern grooves like funk, Balkan, jungle, and magical harmonies.
